At the age of fourteen I had a missing time incident as I was walking home from school. It was a truly bizarre experience and one that has haunted me ever since it occurred. Since first publishing this article, I have been overwhelmed by the number of people who have contacted me to report experiences similar to my own.
The Paranormalist is the personal blog of John Carlson, an ordinary man who has had some extraordinary and life-altering experiences. The purpose of sharing and discussing them is to (hopefully) offer some comfort and insight to others who have had similar encounters with unknown phenomena. My goal for this website is to create a place where people can share their stories and thoughts on the nature of these varied phenomena, and to build a supportive community of individuals who have struggled in the aftermath of these encounters.
